- At import, a customs declaration and transit will be made through a customs broker for exit at a customs point in the country concerned outside the EU, and the car will then pass through the border provided in transit to the customs broker in Romania, where the VAT declaration will be paid, after which it will be released from customs and can finally go to the unloading location.
- The export is exactly the same, only in reverse.
- It should be borne in mind that the services provided by customs agents are on a fee-paying basis.
- Exclusive carriage means that the entire car is reserved exclusively for one customer.
- Groupage transport means that a number of different goods are grouped together in a truck so that costs are lower. Please note that the delivery time is likely to be longer.
- Any transport company must have a Transport Licence issued by the Romanian Road Authority (or the competent authority of the country where the company is based) and CMR Cargo Liability Insurance. On top of this, you will need to work under a contract/carriage order for increased safety.
